Today has been an AMAZING day. My back didn't hurt at ALL. If you know me you know how rare that is. It is so rare I haven't had a day when my back didn't hurt since before W was born. Yeah he's 13 months now so its been a while.
We were down on the floor crawling around following each other and "getting" each other. It was so much fun. He hasn't laughed that much with me since he first started laughing at mommies burps.
But the day wasn't without its incidents. He fell... Twice... In the span of about 2 minutes. The worst part? It was my fault... both times. We rent a townhouse and the kitchen floor is basically cement. It has some type of covering on it I just don't know what its called. It looks like tile but its not. Any way. It's hard. Really really hard.
I was on my hands and knees chasing W and he was walking and he got really excited and face planted. So mommy holds him and hugs him and then notices a drop of blood on her arm. Oh shit mode happens and I look him over from head to toe. He split his lip. Once I find it he is acting fine and and happy so I put him down and we continue playing. I'll be damned if it didn't happen again. This time he face planted into the corner of the base board. The bleeding is much worse now and he hit his head this time. Hello Oh Shit mode I thought we were done for the day.
Long story short we got a cold wash cloth and he sucked on it for a bit and all was well. And mommy will never play with him like that in the kitchen again. EVER.
I hope tomorrow is just as amazing.
On to the pregnancy. I'm finally 12 weeks and starting to get some energy back. WooHoo! It's weird this time around. With W I knew exactly how many weeks and days I was every single day. Now when I want to know I have to post on my mom board to find out from my ticker. Sad I know but its much different when you are trying to keep up with a 1 year old. I've seen the wee one twice on ultrasound and the last time you could see it's legs and arms moving like crazy. In about 8 weeks I get to find out the sex. I'm crossing my fingers for a girl but at the same time having a son has been so much fun.
